	γραφήν τε πᾶσαν ἐ\|ξόχως ἠσκημένο(ν)· \|
	μὴδὲν παρεῖναι τῶν \| ἀναγκαίων ὅλως· \|
	ἀλλ᾽ ευφραδεία καὶ \| πλατει νοημάτων, \|
	πολυτελῆ μάλιστα \| δεῖξαι τὸν λόγον· \|
	οὔκουν ἀποπρέπον\|τος οὐδ᾽ ὁ ζωγράφος· \|
