Ἰωάννου μονάζοντος ἐπίγραμμα εἰς τὸν θεῖον Ὀλυμπιόδωρον
 
Ἱστὸν ἄριστον θεοειδέων στήσας, φαίδιμε,
Ὤνησας πλήθη ἀπερείσια σοῖσι λόγοισι·
Ἀμφαφάων δὲ περίκλυτα βένθη πνεύματος, αὖτις
Νειόθεν ἐκ κραδίης ἠρεύξω χεύματα ξεῖνα·
Νοῦν βρότειον νημερτέως ξεινίζοντα ἅπαντα
Ὅρμοις οὖν ἐν ἀκηράτοις αἰεὶ ναίων, ἄρτι
Ὑψόθι πέμπτοις σὴν χάριν ἀμφαγαπαζομένοις σέ.
