Μόσχου λογισμὸς ὁ βραχὺς τριαμ(...)
πῶς δ' ἀρ' ἔφευρον αἱ σὺν εὐρώπη κόραι.
ὁ δ' ὑάκινθος, καὶ κρόκος πάλιν ἅμα,
αὔξην φέρουσιν εἰς ὀπώρας τὴν φθίην
τὰ πάντα ταῦτα συμμετρεῖν γε τῷ χρόνῳ.
ὦ μόσχε καλὲ, ποῦ τέλεις τῶν εὐπνοῶν.
ποῦ δ'αὖ ἴον, ῥόδον τε σὺ δίδασκε με.
ἰσοχρόνουσι τοῖς ὑακίνθοις κρόκοι
ἴον τελεῖ πρῶτον μὲν, εἶτα καὶ ῥόδον.
ἄμφω δ' ὄμως πέλουσιν εἰς ἦρον χρόνον.
