Δα(υὶ)δ μελῳδὲ μουσικῆς ἀποκρύφου,
Σὺ μὲν δι’ αὐτῶν καὶ θανὼν ζῇς τῶν λόγων·
Ἡμῖν δὲ τὴν σὴν ἐμμελῆ δίδως λύραν:
Ἧς ἐστιν εὑρεῖν ἐμμελῆ τὰ πρακτέα:
Καὶ γὰρ δι’ αὐτῆς μυστικῶς κινουμένης,
Διώκεται μὲν ἐμπαθὴς πᾶσα φθίσις:
Ἐλαύνεται δὲ δυσχερὴς ἅπας πόνος:
Συστέλλεται δὲ συμφορῶν ἀπληστία:
Κοιμίζεται δὲ γνωστικῆς ἅλμης κλύδων:
Στηρίζεται δὲ τῶν καλῶν ἡ στερρότης:
Καὶ τέρπεται μὲν τῆς ψυχῆς ἡ σεμνότης:
Ἐλέγχεται δὲ τοῦ σατᾶν ἡ φαυλότης·
Ἐκ τῆς νοητῆς τῶν μελῶν εὐρυθμίας
