Translation(s)	To the blessed martyrs Cyrus, a past master in the art of healing, and John himself, Sophronius, as a small recompense for his escape from a soul-distressing disease of the eyes, dedicated this book. Comment	Although the Anthologia Palatina mentions Sophronios, Patriarch of Jerusalem, as author, Lauxtermann (2003: 199) notes: "In Vat. gr. 1607 (s. X ex.), by far the most important manuscript of the Miracles, the heading attached to the epigram reads: 'by Seneca the Iatrosophist'".
