| Comment | Although the author of this poem exhibits his erudition by using the rare form νητρεκέστατε for the more common ἀτρεκέστατε and by using a highly unusual optative form (εὐμοιρήσειεν) at verse 2, the poem abounds in metrical errors. Only the third verse has the correct amount of twelve syllables. |
